Cha•ris  (kā′ris)

The word CHARIS (pronounced “care us”) is Greek for grace. Grace is undeserved support or acts of kindness. In brief, it means that God desires the best for us so He unconditionally provides what we do not have and cannot supply for ourselves. The word CHARIS is the inspiration for CHARIS Counseling Services of Northeast Michigan.

Rachel utilizes this worldview as a foundation to provide caring, compassionate, and competent mental health treatment. She respects the dignity and worth of all people, and their right to privacy, their right to their own beliefs, and their right to make their own decisions.  Therapeutic interventions are client-centered.  She desires each person to experience quality treatment that moves people towards their goals.  She offers services to all people regardless of age, color, culture, disability, ethnicity, national origin, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, or socioeconomic status.
